Regional Order Fulfillment Manager

Key Performance Areas


The Order Fulfillment Manager is responsible for managing the internal logistics and warehousing functions for the Americas region in line with global policies. This role will ensure compliance to standardized global warehousing policies while managing local policies and procedures along with local warehousing and logistics staff to ensure total organizational supply chain policy compliance. This role will play a key part in the execution of our global warehousing strategy by implementing and maintaining standard order fulfillment processes. You will maximize the processes that control the way material moves in and out of the region's warehousing and stock locations. You will be responsible for key stakeholder management with IT, Operations, Product Management and Sales to ensure an efficient and defect-free shipping process for our customers in line with global logisitcs and greater supply chain objectives.


Main responsibilities include:




+ Managing local warehousing staff, setting goals and objectives and providing feedback through the conducting of annual employee reviews



+ Developing training plans for the group to stay current with new technologies



+ Directing subordinates through written and oral instructions for an open line of communication while resolving any conflicts or grievances



+ Understanding and utilizing the ERP system, carrier and other shipping software functionality



+ Ensuring inventory accuracy through the use of both physical and cycle counting procedures



+ Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees; supporting ISO 9000/14000 requirements and environmental control documentation



+ Evaluating shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules



+ Maintaining database information, business systems accuracy and proper record retention



+ Determining space requirements and the position of shipments for warehousing needs



+ Inspecting material handling equipment for defects and notifying maintenance personnel or outside service for repair; also responsible for ordering departmental supplies, including packaging/shipping materials



+ Directing the movement of shipments from shipping and receiving to storage and work areas including raw materials, outside services, requisitioned goods and products



+ Developing and reporting to management on performance measures on productivity, service levels of departments and other departmental measures as required



+ Driving process improvements and sharing best practices between warehousing sites, production units and sales units for the region and as part of the global team



+ Understanding trade compliance policies and legal requirements for countries in the region for process compliance



+ Training other regional warehousing teams in fulfillment policies, shipping software management and processes as part of the greater Supply Chain team



Your Profile


Although a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Administration) is preferred, we will also consider a combination of some education and relevant experience. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Logistics Management role, ideally working with a global team to standardize processes.

+ Excellent communication skills



+ Ability to work cross-functionally



+ Ability to travel regionally about 15% of the time



+ APICS preferred



+ Industrial Products industry experience highly preferred



+ Experience working remotely with teams and being a solid business partner to all levels of an organization



+ Freight carrier experience both domestic and international



+ Excellent written and oral English skills



+ Knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite



+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
